History of Autism

There is much more to the history of Autism than Kanner and Asperger.  This informal presentation will review the emergence of our current concepts of autism spectrum disorders, the stories behind the concepts, and the emergence of significant autism advocacy groups. 

(Scott Standifer is a noted authority on autism. He  is a clinical associate professor for the Disability Policy & Studies office (DPS) at the University of Missouri, and the author of Adult Autism & Employment: A Guide for Vocational Rehabilitation Professionals.)
